SUPERMAJORITY EDUCATION FUND LAUNCHES MAJORITY LEADERS PROGRAM
The leadership training program will feature a live webinar series led by powerful activists and organizers from around the country
New York, N.Y., June 24, 2020 — Today, the Supermajority Education Fund announced the launch of Majority Leaders, a free, online leadership program focused on recruiting and training hundreds of young women from a variety of backgrounds on the skills they need to achieve true gender equality in their communities.
Participants in the Majority Leaders program will develop and strengthen their knowledge of key, introductory organizing principles including: intersectional feminism, relational organizing, media literacy, voting rights, and disinformation both on and offline. Additionally, the program will provide participants access to some of the most well-respected grassroots leaders on the frontlines of driving real change.
“We are very excited to introduce our Majority Leaders program,” said Amanda Brown Lierman, Managing Director of Supermajority Education Fund. “At Supermajority Education Fund, we know that young women–particularly young women of color–are already leading the current movement in our country to address racial, social, and gender inequalities. We hope that through the Majority Leaders program we will be able to provide these and other emerging leaders the resources, knowledge, and community they need to take their leadership and activism to the next level.”
Majority Leaders is a 5-week leadership development experience where participants will join a live, online training every Tuesday between July 14th and August 25th, 2020. This program is designed to be engaging, supportive, accessible, and free. All young women and emerging leaders are welcome to apply by July 10, 2020.
