Sara Yaseen (she/her)

Community Organizer

Sara Yaseen is a community organizer on Supermajority’s engagement and mobilization team. She organizes around BIPOC causes and candidates because she recognizes that she has the privilege to effectuate change in our communities, and does not take it for granted! As one of the community organizers in Georgia, Sara is responsible for maintaining mutual and meaningful relationships with grassroots leaders as well as managing virtual volunteer teams to execute specific tactics, such as phone or text banking. She also supports building an online community for women and helping each one to organize creatively within their communities. She is excited for the chance to change the course of our government, so that it more accurately represents the people that give it legitimacy in the first place. Prior to Supermajority, Sara received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & History from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her extensive background in field organizing and campaign operations at For Our Future, Need To Impeach, Organizing Corps, New Virginia Majority, and The Hub Project made Sara a natural fit for Supermajority’s volunteer outreach program. Outside of the office, Sara can be found at the gym, hanging out with friends, playing video games, watching anime, or reading a good (comic) book. Her favorite TV show and song is Peaky Blinders and “Love You In A Different Way” by DJ Snake respectively.
