FAQ

If you have general questions about our organization, send us an email if you don’t see the answer in our frequently asked questions.

A supermajority is more than one half of a group. Women are 51 percent of the population, and we are the majority of grassroots volunteers, donors and voters. That means it’s time our government looks like us, our leaders fight for us, and our country actually works for us.

No—there are no required dues to be a member.

Of course! We partner with many of the organizations that do incredible work on behalf of issues that impact gender equity. The exciting thing that we’re seeing in this moment is that women want to do more, not less, so we hope by bringing partners in, we can expose members to even more ways they can get involved. The single most asked question by women today is—what can I do? Supermajority is about filling that demand and making a home for all women’s activism across issues.

Yes! Anyone who shares our vision is welcome here.

Supermajority is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, and Supermajority Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Supermajority 501(c)(4) endorses former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris in the 2020 presidential election because they will unite our country, bring compassionate leadership and intersectional policies to the White House, and begin to heal our nation after the disastrous, harmful, and racist presidency of Donald Trump.

Additionally, we provide our members with guidance around where candidates stand on issues we all care about. In partnership with our members, we’ve adopted the Majority Rules, a gender equity agenda that we will hold candidates accountable to and mobilizing women to fight for the power and representation that we deserve.

No. While electing more women is a critical component of building women’s power, there are already a number of great organizations that exist to recruit and support women candidates.

Membership has its perks. We ask for users to create an account to save key information like how you plan to vote, discover opportunities to organize women who share your values, and get access to exclusive content that we can only share with our members — stuff like our political take on issues impacting your life and live events with influencers, elected officials, and celebrities. Plus, as a member you have the power to vote on key strategic decisions — this is your organization. All voting will happen in your account!
